Rainy Day 1

What we did to keep occupied on torrential rain day #1

I know why its raining this week. Its our fault. It's little tinker's fault. *grin*
For lunch she had a scrambled egg sandwich! YES! a sandwich! Bread, egg, bread and took a bite! then she agreed to get messy and play with shaving cream. Read below :)


Activity #1: We watched our Spanish cartoons in the morning


Activity #2: We played find the shapes hide-and-seek bingo.Take a 4x2 card with the outline of shapes (circle, square, triangle, star, heart etc.) then take the individual paper shapes (that are colored in solid color, it helps them spot the paper shape) and I hide them throughout the house. Then tink simply runs around the house looking for the shapes until she fills and completes the card. To make it more fun if she's having trouble finding the shapes I give her clues as to the location or I turn it into a "hot-cold" game.


Activity #3: Our last fun rainy day activity was shaving cream play. tink was very excited to use her birthday gifts she received from Auntie Susy and Auntie Cherryl; a tea set and beach toys. I can't believe that she got 2.5 hours of play time from this!!! Just when she was starting to get bored with the shaving cream I gave her a bowl with a little water, she soon discovered she could wash the toys, re-foam the toys AND turn the water into a foamy white color! he he! :)
